Hi lovelies! In this outfitpost I want to talk about a struggle I’ve been having the past couple of summers. No, it’s not finding a bikini (I have a bikinibody all year round!), it has something to do with a certain trend: ibiza. It’s been a big trend in plussize for quite some time now…. and I hate it to bits! So half the time when I walk into a store, I get a little sick and depressed when I see all the ibizaclothes. I was desperately looking for a solution… and then it hit me. Let’s go folk!
Ibiza goes folk
Folk stands for folklore. It has many touchpoints with the whole ibizathing, but it’s more black-white-gold oriented (whereas ibiza is more white with bright colours). Think more like gypsie meets Dolce&Gabbana (I’m totally making this stuff up as I’m writing this haha). Anyway, for me it made all the difference in the world because now I finally figured out a way to shop my style this summer. Happy Marianne! (not sure my bank account will be as happy, but sssst).
Okay; about this outfit. I’m wearing a white and black croptop with a hint of folk (this is really more folk light. I’m gonna go crazy with this trend coming summer, just watch me). I bought the skirt in London and am forever regretting not buying it in different colours as well, because it is simply perfection. The cut, the fit, the length, the comfiness, the split, the pockets, the everything. I just added some heels and my new -and super addictive- favorite accessory: the choker.
