I have this imaginary fashion wishlist with key items I absolutely must have to build my wardrobe (the perfect white kneelength trenchcoat, anyone?). One of the things on there are black over the knee boots. Ofcourse, there are plenty of over the knee boots out there, but the problem is that I’m not exactly a short girl so all of those boots tend to hit me below the knee, which just looks weird. Just when I was about to give up my search forever, I spotted these black babies online. I don’t think I’ve ever checked out an item that fast! They fit like a dream: they’re made from a stretchy material so they’re supercomfi, and they have a built in plateau so it doesn’t feel like a high heel at all. Superhappy that after years of searching I can FINALLY tick these off my wishlist!
Then came the challenge of figuring out how to wear them, because you can imagine it doesn’t take much to make these look I should be working on a streetcorner if you know what I mean ;). So I’m wearing them with a leather legging to add a bit more oompf and then a romantic lace top to tone it down again (I could wear leather and lace for the rest of my life, just love this combo!). With a slightly longer blazer to tie the look together (and cover up my behind, because wearing leggings as pants are not really my thing) and a bit of sparkle because, well, it’s me, and #ALittleSparkleNeverKilledNobody right :).
Hope you guys like this look as much as I do!
