You guyhuys! I got this awesome black velvet blazer from Zizzi and I’ve been dying to show it to you. I was thinking of the perfect combo to wear this with and then I realized that I had this fucking amazing gold glitter skirt that I hadn’t shown you guys yet either so, hello, MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN.
Okay, first things first: the blazer. It’s made from a velvet-y stretchy material (I also have a dress in this, friggin’ gorgeous). You know I’m a sucker for blazers: it’s the last layer I add to the look and it does amazing things for my shape so I own a ridiculous amount of blazers and I wear them all the time. I know a lot of plussize women don’t like them because they think they’re restrictive, but since this one is stretchy it really does fit like a shirt. So comfi. I’m actually not wearing anything underneath (insert Justin Timberlake’s “bringing sexy back” here) and it really gives all the structure and coverage and comfort I could ask for, but at the same time it looks so chique and fashionforward.
The skirt… guess what… it’s handmade! I had been looking for something like this for quite some time until I finally stumbled upon a piece of gold glitter fabric in a fabricstore and thought “you know what, why don’t I just make it myself?”. To this day, I’m still finding little bits of glitter all around the house! Is it the most technically outstanding skirt? Absolutely not. But I think it’s so awesome and I feel like a total babe in it, and that’s all that matters :). Hope you guys like this look!
I just noticed I didn’t pull the skirt straight when I put it on, guess I was in such a hurry to get it photographed haha. Oopsie, bad fashionblogger!
